Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet, Sunny Leone’s Kuch Kuch Locha Hai – BollywoodLife’s worst rated movies in first half of 2015!

A lot of big banner films which were expected to do well, hit the theaters in the first half of 2015. But sadly only few managed to pack a solid punch at the box office. Well, here’s the list of top 5 films which got the lowest ratings by BollywoodLife…

Bombay Velvet: This Anurag Kashyap directorial was the biggest release in the first half of 2015. Considering Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma came together for the very first time, expectations were sky high. Not to forget, Karan Johar was making his big acting debut with this one and that was another reason why all eyes were on Bombay Velvet. But the film turned out to be a big disappointment. Neither did it impress the audience nor did it manage to pull in crowd to the cinema halls. In fact, it ended up becoming the biggest dud of all time. BollywoodLife gave Bombay Velvet: 2 STARS.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani: Since Mohit Suri’s last two films were blockbusters, everyone was looking forward to his intense love story Hamari Adhuri Kahani starring Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and National Award winning actor Rajkummar Rao. Plus, when the trailer came, it seemed promising and mighty impressive. However, when the film actually hit the theaters, it failed to charm the audience including us. Most of the critics panned the film left, right and center. And the case wasn’t much different with us. BollywoodLife gave Hamari Adhuri Kahani: 1.5 STARS.

Kuch Kuch Locha Hai:  Sunny Leone had two in the first half of the year – Ek Paheli Leela and Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. While former turned out to be decent watch, the latter was just intolerable. As least that’s what BollywoodLife reviewer felt. Sreeju Sudhakaran who watched the film said – Run away from Sunny Leone’s ‘locha’ as far as you can. And he gave Kuch Kuch Locha Hai: 1 STAR.

Mr.X: This Emraan Hashmi starrer was reviewed by me. Since the makers had managed to create immense buzz around the film, everyone was eager to see what was exactly in store. Though this film had the invisible element and 3D effects, Mr.X turned out to be nothing but a big mess. It was too chaotic and most importantly the story was just too blah. Mr.X. was so boring that I gave it only 0.5 STAR.

Roy: This Arjun Rampal-Jacqueline Fernandez- Ranbir Kapoor starrer was another big disappointment in the first half of 2015. The film had stayed in the news forever till it actually released around Valentine’s Day. Despite having a good star cast, Vikramjeet Singh’s directorial debut did no wonders at all. Though Jr Kapoor managed to pull in crowd to the theaters, Roy overall failed to impress the moviegoers. Our reviewer tagged this film as a snooze fest and no wonder BollywoodLife ended up giving it: 2 STARS.
