The Kapoor khandaan shared the dais with Mangeshkar family!
The goddess of music Lata Mangeshkar was her usual warm and elegant self as she conferred the prestigious Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Awards to various eminent personalities from different walks of life for their outstanding contribution in the field art and social work this year.
The 84-year-old singer personally felicitated – Anna Hazare, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Rishi Kapoor, Shivaji Satam, Pandit Pandrinath Kohlapure and many others. “We commemorate my father’s death anniversary as Smriti Din April 24 every year. These awards are given to eminent people in the field of cinema, music, theater, literature and social work,” said Lata Mangeshkar.
Rishi Kapoor turned up to receive the coveted award with his entire family. In fact, son Ranbir Kapoor, daughter Ridhima and wife Neetu Singh Kapoor shared the dias with Lata Mangeshkar. “Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) has played in my arms when he was just two years and I am very fond of him since then. He is one of my favorite actors and I have seen all his films till date, I like his acting and dancing both. I am so happy today he is here to receive this award.” said the nightingale of India as she walked down the memory lane.
CID famed ACP Pradyuman Shivaji Satham who features in Lata’s favourite show also bagged an award this year.
